» When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Go Shoping!

[02:05 AM]

I pulled a 90 on that awfulawful WP test on Thursday. GO ME. !!!!!!!!!!!! On the down side, the highest mark was a 91. Not exactly my idea of an ideal highest class mark.

As a reward (for doing well on the test and for surviving a very hellish week), I went on a sickening shopping spree with Vanessa today. It was absolutely GLORIOUS. The only problem was that the two hours we'd allocated for shopping were UNBELIEVABLY short, and there were so many things we didn't get to (cigar case geisha purse which I've decided I absolutely MUST HAVE, a hoodie, and our Buck or Two raid!), but it was still majorly fun. I hadn't been to the mall to just plain shop in so long. I LOVE the feeling of coming home with bags and bags and packages and packages and opening all of them and going "oh yeah, I bought that!" or "I don't recall hitting that store...", etc.

I bought:

  • LaSenza undies
  • Body Shop Cream (the sparkly Cranberry stuff Vicki got me for Christmas was on sale so I decided to stock up!)
  • Green tea shower gel, Papaya Body Butter (knock offs rule Wal Mart, hahaha!), highlighters (I go through them like underwear now because of WP!), Swiffer WetJet refills (I <3 Swiffer!!!!!!!!!!), fabric scissors (shears?) to alter a pair of pants my mom bought me a few weeks ago (they turned out nicely)
  • Tea tree oil and chocolate
  • A ceramic tropical fish with chrome hooks

    I still want to get:

  • Bananna-shaped Curious George tissue box cover (for my car)
  • Winnie the Pooh steering wheel cover
  • Cigar box geisha purse with a faux bamboo handle
  • Wheelie suitcase (for Banff)
  • Clothes: new swimsuit(s), hoodie(s), comfy sweat pants

Then we went to Pickel Barrel for dinner and the FMP for bubble tea and more shopping. YAY YAY YAY!

Ally C. called (which was awesome because I haven't talked to her since last week!); she might come to my special reception thing with the Dean of Arts at UW over March Break and Janette and I are planning on visiting her in Brantford and go skiing/snowboarding in Collingwood sometime that week, too. I AM SO STOKED. RAH RAH RRAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On Friday I went to see The Passion of the Christ with Ally M., Gina, Becky and some others. IT WAS SO INCREDIBLY GORY. How gory, you ask? Take the goriness in Black Hawk Down (limbs and people getting blown up/apart) and multiply that by 10. And Becky threw up after. THAT'S how gory.

» Everyday is the Worst Day Ever

    [10:36 PM]

I didn't sleep the night before, but we still scored a Gold at Jazz Musicfest. HAWT. It was so wicked because Sam, Meg, and Josh came to watch us. I was so stoked.

91, Silver, Gold. Not bad for three festivals in a week and a half.

What's not so hot is that my Politics test today was absolutely BRUTAL! I feel like such a fuckface now because I've signed up to do that for the next four years of my life.

I'm so tired. I'm gonna go to bed soon because I slept at 4 yesterday this morning, and I missed all of 1st and most of 2nd. I also had two rehearsals tonight (which took up a grand total of 4 hours *stab*). Band and Vocal are tremendously fun, but I am even more tremendously tired which makes EVERYTHING tremendously UNFUN.

My Gung Gung passed away yesterday. I haven't talked to my mom in a few days but she's e-mailed me a bit. I think she's a wreck right now. Like mother, like daughter.

» "Thank you. I take that as a compliment."

    [12:30 PM]

I hate how I'm sleeping less and less and working harder AFTER I got an early acceptance. I thought it would be absolute CAKE from here, but I am obviously mistaken.

Someone set a fire in the guys washroom on the third floor during period 3 on Friday so we had to evacuate and our French test got cut short. I'm feel so ripped off because I finished with 15 minutes left to check it over and then we had to evacuate with 10 minutes left in the period and I didn't get to finish checking it.

What's funny is that they're offering $100 to whoever rats on the perps (they always do that). Like a measly $100 bucks is gonna get anyone from Markville to talk. HELLO; Markham is only the richest municipality in Canada per capita, and the kids drive nicer cars than the teachers (except for me and my Old Girl, haha!)

Musicfest blew. We Some people (i.e. ME) were too burnt out. I know I felt so nasty all night with my cold and stuffy nose. I could barely BREATHE, nevermind play and play nicely.

I hate how people are anal fucks. HATE. And I hate how so many people that I consider anal fucks wear Christianity on their little bracelets because its so gosh darn trendy or something. This angers me because some of whom I consider to be the nicest people in the world and my dearest friends fall under the same strata of Christianity.

I live in the music department. Really.

I haven't worked out all week and I feel so guilty.

I'm hungry. I really should eat. I haven't eaten yet this morning.

I think my early acceptance to Western is lost in the mail. (JK!) However, I am almost certain that my acknowledgement letter from Mac is lost in the mail; I'm gonna call them again next week.

My fucking dress is not ready yet because they can't alter it properly. I think they're getting annoyed that I've gone to three fittings and its still not right, but I'm not about to pay $400 bucks for a dress that isn't perfect.

My mom is in Hong Kong because my grandpa is very ill. She left in a hurry on Friday and she'll be gone for two weeks.

    [04:30 PM]

I checked the mail today and I got two packages: my NLS shirt (woot!) a big Purolator thing from Waterloo. I was really confused when I opened it because there's this huge folder that says "You're In!" and I'm thinking to myself "UHM you didn't have to kill 17 trees to make a fancy folder just to tell me that you got my application!"

So whatever, I keep opening the folder and there's a pile of paper. The top one says "Congratulations on being accepted to the Honors Arts and Business Co-op Program," and I'm like WTF, MATE?! It's FEBRU-fucking-ARY!!!!

But yeah, its an acceptance letter. They beat me to it; I was actually gonna mail my St. Jerome's application card thing this week, but I think I'll live.

Now.... Mackking, REV, or V1? Decisions, decisions!

    [10:18 PM]

    RAH.

I am falling apart at the seams (physically) and I am rather cranky. Four hours of sleep a night doesn't cut it when you rehearse or swim every day after school (and sometimes before school, too).

On a brighter note (no pun intended... REALLY!) vocal is a lot of fun and we did well at Kiwanis on Saturday (91 in March Class, baby!) while simultaneously not very severely but severely enough getting our asses kicked by Agincourt CI (93. HOLY SHIT, that's WICKED!).

It was Steph's 18th birthday on Friday. I didn't chill w/ them 'til really late (like 11ish?) because I was studiously doing homework. That resulted in me getting home after 1 and then reading The Magician's Nephew and talking on the phone 'til two something with Alex, knowing full well I had a festival the next day.

I wish I had something more fascinating to write about. I miss my endearing wit and charm. *smirk*

Vanessa got some really cool presents for me last week. A "venting" book with my birth stone and an alien dude on the cover, a tiny "friends" book with vintage Disney characters, and a swimming angel. XOXO!

I WANT MY COMPY BACK. =*(

    [01:14 AM]

Upon turning 18, I have discovered that when everything goes awry and falls away, you realize how awesome some people truly are.

Thanks folks for all of your birthday wishes. =)

My beautiful hostess, the wonderfully brilliant Kate, is 20! Go and wish her a happy one. Happy belated birthday!!! xoxo.

I got some wicked presents from the parental units once again. A neat little HP printer-scanner-copier, a set of extra cartridges (for which I am SO THANKFUL FOR because they're like $80/set!), usb cable, LaSenza jammies (woot!), Clinique dramatically different moisturizing lotion (I <333333 that stuff!) and a slim silver thermos (matches my Oakley case sorta, lol). I wanted a bigass 136 L duffle with wheels from MEC but no luck. Maybe I'll pick it up on my own, or maybe I won't, seeing its $130. =S

I also picked out my prom dress on Sunday. It's a size 0 turquoise beaded Jé Matadi gown and it is very heavy. I'm going to pick it up on Saturday (after Kiwanis!) as it is currently being altered. My plan now is to come up with a strict workout regiment and consume protein like crazy. I'm thinking about getting a big tub of that protein powder stuff but I heard it is quite unpleasant tasting.

Posts and e-mails will be sporadic, due to the fact that something on my mobo fried and I won't have my compy for about 4 weeks, so says Canada Computer. I have resorted to using my mom's ancient P2. WOE IS ME; I WANT MY ATHLON XP 2500+ BACK RIGHT NOW. If you need to reach me, your best bet is to either call my cell if you have the number or e-mail me. bluey _ smurf @ hotmail . com (get rid of the spaces).

    [12:04 AM]

Simply put, I either maintained my mark or went up, AND I got 87% on my DM exam. Holy shiitake mushrooms!

I'm not sure I like my 2nd semester classes, but what the heck. It's not like I liked my first semester classes any more than these. ;)

    Period 1: lunch
    Period 2: Music
    Period 3: French
Period 4: Challenge and Change in Society
Period 5: Canadian and World Politics

Today was a very long day. They'd split it up into two half days, the first half being first semester, and then the second half was second semester, with a common lunch in between the two halves. Because of that, it felt like I'd been at school for two days straight. I had swim practice (tomorrow is the championships) and then we went to the Pickle Barrel for Julie's dinner thing because she's going to France on Wednesday and she won't be back until April. :*((( Ryan and I ended up leaving a bit early because we had a Jazz rehearsal.

Tomorrow is the last swim meet of the season and I'm so tired but I can't sleep right now.

    » Le Weekend

    [09:41 PM]

    This weekend was a blast.

On Friday I went downtown to hang out with Adam and visit UT. He got me a wicked present: UT swag (a little squirrel animal wearing a "someone at UT loves me!" shirt and writing utensils) and a big bag of Jelly Bellies!! We went through most of the buildings and colleges and stuff and I checked out the Athletic Centre (with a 50 m pool! I was about to pee my pants) and I am quite pumped about UT now.

Then on Saturday Jones, Kuba, Ellen and I went to see Silver Lyning at Club Rockit. We met up with oodles of people (e.g. half of the Sr. Stage Band) there and we started a crazyass fight pit. It was awesome. Afterwards we went to Wendy's then to Dave's where we watched the old Batman movie from the 60s, which reminded me of the time in grade 9 when we got to play the Batman theme in band and Mr. Taylor brought in the old movies for us to watch.
