[10:38 PM]

The lisp is still here, pain has mellowed into discomfort (when I'm not doing anything; if I'm attempting to use or move my jaw/teeth in any way, pain unmellows itself) but I have a small crapload of UT swag and I am happy. Bum pants, sparkly shirt, writing utensils, clip board. LALALA. :) I love my college.

[09:40 PM]

I have been reduced to a crybaby on congee, applesauce, and icecream due to spacers today. They hurt like a mofo. I can't laugh, cry, talk, chew, close my mouth, swallow, or brush without a significant amount of discomfort pain. I'm starting to develop a lisp. =( It's quite difficult to pronounce and articulate words. So please. I love you all, but don't call me. I'll call you. Alternatively, you can e-mail me or comment here. And buy me lots of soft, non-sticky, yummy sugar-free foods.

My braces are going on Friday. Suggestions for colours? I'm thinking blue or red or black. Hmm. Red might be kinda scary though I think!

I'm going to UT tomorrow for a couple of workshops, my TCard, and some sexy swag!

[08:24 PM]

I'm on anti-bacterial ear drops and now my ears are not functioning to their capabilites and in a lot of pain. Not only that, but I cannot find the purse I want! I saw it once at Hilcrest about a month ago and I can't find it anywhere else. It's a black Roots purse that looks like a little duffle bag. It's the bigger one (they make two versions of it; one is really tiny and useless and the other is purse-sized). But yeah. I CAN'T FIND IT ANYWHERE NOW. ARGH.

What I would give to spend another weekend in Waterloo... freaking Instructors. It better be worth it. I'm so pissed. In general. RAWR!

I AM SO SAD. =***(((

[10:57 PM]

I had an ass weekend because:

a) my friends were M.I.A./out of town
b) I started Instructors (Saturday and Sunday 11-7 for four consecutive weekends; *stab*).
c) they LIED to me when they told me we'd get the long weekend off from Instructors (we actually don't and I am devastated).
d) I have water stuck in my left ear. Some of it has been there since yesterday. It's really bothering me.
e) I'm so unbelievably tired.

Ally: my little heart jumped and I giggled when I read your LJ about the elevators just now. ;) 'Twas the highlight of my weekend. Sad, eh?

*SOB*

I need to get my TCard and some UT swag soon. And do my French placement test. Ai ya.

Life or Something Like It
» Eng Semi @ UW!

[10:17 PM]

Three hawt chicks (L-R: myself, Janette, Ally) and a big fucking wrench.

This past weekend was kickass. Janette and I took the Greyhound to Waterloo where we met up with Ally. Jeff took Alex, Janette, and I to lunch at Benny's (it was sooo wicked; thanks a bunch!!!). After that Ally, Jannette and I walked to Sobey's and the LCBO (I thought I was going to pass out from the humidity and carrying stuff) and back to Ally's rez.

Eng semi was a lot of fun. I almost died when they played Bohemian Rhapsody. The food was pretty good and the venue was surprisingly nice, considering it was on campus (not that UW sucks but it is a university campus and I wasn't really expecting a sit-down restaurant-y thing). When the scary eng people (Ally help me out!) came with the wrench they played weird music and it was terrifyingly awesome and cultish to no avail. You know how they describe how the kids feel when they hear Aslan's name in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe? It was kinda like that. It almost made me wish I were in Engineering.

After the semi (which ended around 1), we played volleyball in the parking lot at UW Place until 4ish. By the time we finally crashed, I'd been up for more than 24 hours consecutively.

Saturday: we woke up at 2 or 3 (well I woke up at 2 or 3; Ally, Janette, and Ally's friend Sabrina had been up for a while already). We played beach volleyball for HOURS and it was sooooooooooooooooooooooooo muuuuuch fuuuuuuuuuunnnn!!!!!!!!!! I don't think I've ever enjoyed volleyball that much, even when I played varsity in elementary school.

That night we went to Steve's for dinner. It was wicked. My big bro is a kickass chef. We also watched Dodgeball (more wrenches, except they were smaller and chucked at people!) and played video games (yay Smash Bros!).

Sunday: woke up super laaate again. Went swimming. Again, 'twas muchos funnos. Then I went home and went to a rehearsal at church (horrendously late but hey at least I went!).

I'm in Ally's room. It's supercool because she rearranged her furniture. Janette and I might go swimming in a bit. We'll see.

Could we please just start again
Without this sense of pending dread,
These thunderclouds mass overhead
Without this cage around your bed, love

I hope you know how much I wish I didn't care anymore.

Janette's picking me up in just under 6 hours. We're booting our behinds over to UW to visit Ally, Alex, and Steve!

» 20 Questions to a Better Personality

[12:11 AM]

Wackiness: 34/100
Rationality: 52/100
Constructiveness: 28/100
Leadership: 52/100

You are an SEDF--Sober Emotional Destructive Follower. This makes you an evil genius. You are extremely focused and difficult to distract from your tasks. With luck, you have learned to channel your energies into improving your intellect, rather than destroying the weak and unsuspecting.

Your friends may find you remote and a hard nut to crack. Few of your peers know you very well--even those you have known a long time--because you have expert control of the face you put forth to the world. You prefer to observe, calculate, discern and decide. Your decisions are final, and your desire to be right is impenetrable.

You are not to be messed with. You may explode.

Life or Something Like It
» Star Trek, French Pedicures, and Tanning

[11:17 PM]

Work has been so sweet the past two days.

Our pool has no phone line and they don't want to reimburse me for my cell phone anymore so they sent us to a different pool a few minutes away. This pool is sooo much sweeter because it's a lot less busy and the guard hut is a real building with a desk, two sofas, tv, Nintendo, fridge, CORDLESS phone, stereo, bbq, you get the picture! Way better than our pool shed! So anyways. Jamie and I have been crashing there after we do our maintenance stuffies in the mornings. It's been SWEEET. We've been watching DS9 and Voyager, playing Nintendo, getting some AWESOME colour, French pedicures, and swimming laps! And it's just more fun because there are less patrons and more guards (4 including us).

Swimming today was awesome. These pools have no heaters, so they're ice cold all the time. Today it was boilingish and so it was just ABSOLUTELY BEEYOUTEEFUL. =)

(Un?)Fortunately our phone line is up and running now so Jamie and I will be back at our normal pool. We'll probably end up crashing at the other pool on rainy days but for the most part we're just glad our jobs are secure!

Life or Something Like It
» "The world lives for the weekend / I watch as my weeks bleed right into them."

[04:44 PM]

Alex is the epitome of the "nice guy." All I could do was chuckle sheepishly to myself whilst reading this.

____________________________________

I've been working like a mofo 'til 7 every day. Today is my only day off between last Monday and this coming Thursday, assuming I can find a floater to cover for Friday so Janette and I can boot our asses to Waterloo.

Recap, yo (I hate how my blog is turning into a shitload of shitty entries of summaries of weekends I remember only pieces of):

Thursday (Canada Day!): Went to Milne with Vanessa and Kristen for the fireworks. We ran into Cathy (she was working that night) and met up with Chris and his friend Rob. We saw the Jim Smith Band (two shows in a week for me!) and then we all piled into one of Chris' friends' cars and lit fireworks and did cartwheels in a park somewhere (I don't know where). Vanessa and Kristen slept over. We ate Chinese food and drank some more.

Friday: Oi. I had a crazy day at work (pool opening=RIOT!) so I was pretty stressed and even more stressed about how everyone else was stressing about plans for that evening to the point I didn't want to go out and almost had a nervous breakdown. How melo-fucking-dramatic. *gags* I think Alex summed it up the best "It's like working so hard to be comfortable." But it all worked out beautifully. Kristen, Vanessa, Tammy, and I went to Brennan's for a pool party and it was a blast! Binder (Bin-der, not a bind-er where you keep papers) and I were kicking everyone's asses in the wrestling game thing. I met a guy there who looked like Josh HotHartnett, but I was probably seeing things since I'd been drinking again. The other thing I remember semi-clearly is being passed out on the bathroom floor whilst Vanessa was peeing ("We're all girls!" "ughhhh.... I don't feel so hawt....").

[Joshy break!]

I just had to. What a cutie!

[/Joshy break!]

Saturday: I had work at 10, so I woke up at 7 to mow the lawn. I was so tired after work that I fell asleep right after watching the Patriot. I woke up to call Alex and then crashed again.

Sunday: I bought a really cute dress. It's a black halter dress with red flowers all over it, so it's more red than it is black. I also bought bus tickets and picture frames.
