Inspired by Carrie, I decided to take a break from studying History and walk around town for a bit. I left Louis XIV, William of Orange, and Leopold and their entourages and ventured outside to get some food and to go shop for a bit, only to have my mini trek halted by a lot of police tape and cops and some drizzling rain. A huge section of Bloor West had been taped off and traffic was being directed elsewhere due to a bomb threat. I decided that was probably enough of an omen to get my take-out and head back to SHC to continue studying. I also upgraded my MSN Messenger so I was playing with that for a bit. I think it's WAY too complicated. Anyways, I came across Vanessa's pictures and I just realized how much I miss my Markham girls! =*( I think living in Toronto for (almost) a year has made me appreciate Markham just a little bit more.
Three more folks. Please don't bug me until after the 4th of next month, after which I will be more than happy to play with all of you! I am much too prone to distractions. Wicked cool stuff to check out, whether you are relaxing in post-exam euphoria or 19 April 2005Life or Something Like It» Post-Economics Euphoria [08:26 PM]
ECO 100 IS DONE! Studying for it was hell: I lived at Graham for 4 days (lived as in being there from open 'til close for 4 days minus food breaks), not counting all the evenings spent in there (after dinner until close) AND all the tutoring sessions. I found it difficult to practice everything since September because high school was semestered for me. But it is done and I am glad. The past two days have been gorgeous! I spent all yesterday afternoon (after lunch 'til dinner) lying on the lawn of the Munk Centre with my fellow Saints, revelling in simply being here/now/alive, dozing off, tanning, studying by osmosis, and having an "unusually optimistic" disposition, in Ama's words. I'm so excited about choosing POSts. International Relations major or specialist? East Asian Studies minor or Asia-Pacific Studies major? What about Critical Reading, Writing and Rhetoric and Ethics Society and Law? Decisions, decisions! I have never been so excited about school. I'm going back to Markham tomorrow and Ally and I are hitting up MSS on Thursday! I miss being in the music department. I have three more exams (April 28th, May 3rd and 4th) and I move out on May 7th. 8 April 2005Life or Something Like It» Nostalgia and Laundry [04:08 PM]
Whenever I see the Heads of College and Arts giving prospective frosh tours of the college, I am reminded of when I was in those shoes not too long ago. Sometimes when I'm working the Trin Library, I catch myself thinking about how I still can't believe I'm really here. But I am, and I'm almost done a quarter of my degree. I think I really like it here, here being Trin. U of T in general I'm not so sure, but Trin I am. Unfortunately I am still not very acquainted with the washing machines here. I always end up guessing incorrectly and pushing the wrong button. Who would've thought that the "colours" button is for warm water and "bright colours" is for cold water? I always think of bright colours as pastels, thus I want warm water but I end up with cold. Quad Party tonight; 25 kegs, bbq dinner, it will be SWELL! Laura wants to start drinking at 5pm! I'm in the Markham this weekend--Ryan's on Saturday night to be specific. I can't wait to see everyone again! 5 April 2005Life or Something Like It» Ich Liebe Dich! [12:43 AM]
More alcohol baby Cocaine in Montreal And back out on the plane baby It was Alan's 19th on Saturday and the usual antics were pulled, sprained ankle and all (I didn't even FEEL it until the next morning). Pre-party in 340 No-Name was raging as per usual (Laura and I are almost world renowned for them by now!) and then the party moved over to the Bedford Ballroom where everyone proceeded to consume much alcohol and I learned some German. The following pictures are moments captured from that evening and carefully selected for posting at my censorship. Things got kinda wild. Get your mind out of the gutter 'cuz we were all in a public place. ;) BOOYAKASHA QUAD PARTY FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
