(( Saints' Charity Ball 2005 ))

Even a sprained ankle didn't stop me. But trust me, the ankle is a-stopping me now.

Laura and I had lunch at Le Trou Normand in Yorkville, Godiva for desert, and did a bit of shopping. I sprained my ankle when we got back and I was on my way to the library to study. It got better after awhile, so I continued with my plans (because really, there is no point in sitting on your ass and feeling miserable when you've got the dress, the shoes, the reservations, and a ticket).

Preparty at Paaeez was amazing. We had the private room at the back. It was gorgeous and so were we; much fun was had and I did it all without making a mess

The ball itself, as always, is overrated, but that's the whole point of going right? I enjoyed it, but I think the whole "going out" beforehand part was very important because I really don't care to get all dressed up just to (literally) walk downstairs.

» Concert envy (among other things)

[09:41 PM]

  • Reading Chris' candid entries of musical ecstasy on his snazzy new domain has left me wondering whatever happened to music I listen to and my previously-somewhat-avid concert-going as of late.

  • It's sobering to realize that your precocity has finally caught up with your age, even more so than when it was no longer illegal to consume alcohol in an establishment.

  • As if being nice were not enough, it must bear the guilt of not exercising assertion. Unfortunately, being assertive doesn't relieve guilt, either.

  • My recent actions and their subsequent consequences have further confirmed my previous belief that karma exists.

  • I am very pleased and almost relieved that the phone and internet connections haven't been working in my room for a couple of days now.

  • I miss my girls. <3
