this discussion rages on in my next post...
Posted by tina at March 19, 2004 09:43 AMYou get knocked out if you get a below 60 average. Maybe that's for Engineering, but it doesn't take much to stay in co-op.
Posted by Ally at March 18, 2004 08:37 PMf'real... arts and biz man... it's... yeah... um... not the jobs you may want? plus a lot of people get knocked out of coop
Posted by Alex at March 18, 2004 12:52 PMHa yeah UT... make sure to visit.
Posted by Chien at March 17, 2004 11:11 PMUh, by Engineering being a guaranteed success. I meant because of that, I chose Waterloo (reputation, co-op). So what I'm saying is that if Arts & Business is marketable then I would consider that a pro. Ugh, I'm not very clear with things...
Posted by Ally at March 17, 2004 06:16 PMOkay, so I've been extremely biased about you coming to Waterloo. But here me out (I'm not saying you SHOULDN'T go to Waterloo, but I want you to make the right decision for you):
+ Co-op. Okay. That is a HUGE pro. It was the biggest reason I chose Waterloo.
+ Arts and Business is apparently marketable. I don't know about this one, but Engineering is pretty much guaranteed success, so yes, this is a pro.
+ Campus. You might like the campus a lot at other universities, right?
+ Look into the other universities? University has so much to offer. I wouldn't be surprised if they had those clubs, too.
+ Hm, not sure about this minor business since I'm in Engineering, but again, other uni's might let you do that too?
+ You will find that every school is going to have nice people. That's the way I found it when I had to decide. Every single university presentation at school made me want to go there afterwards, lol. It didn't help at all.
And I know that you're (we're!) going to see Western this weekend, and UT is really easy, but you might end up loving every other university as well.
But really, if you came to Waterloo, that would be fucking AMAZING. I mean really, we could fucking live together after you finish your res and when we're both on campus!!!!!! (co-op and such)
Posted by Ally at March 17, 2004 06:15 PMhey... uw does suck
arts and biz employment? it's... not exactly the type of jobs you would typically want...
no joke

Waterloo still sucks
